How is a Browlift in Greenwich Performed?

There are multiple surgical methods for performing a brow lift; they range from open, coronal techniques to endoscopic methods.

In the coronal method, an incision made behind the hairline which traverses the full length of the head. This method is best for individuals who have complete descent of the brows as well as the forehead. Dr. Singh can lessen the appearance of wrinkles by removing affected muscles and releasing the tissues that cause the wrinkles. The eyebrows may also be elevated to alleviate a furrowed brow, and excess skin at the incision will be removed to smooth out the skin on the forehead.

When a patient has isolated drooping of the outside portion of the brow, Dr. Singh can tailor his technique to address this with less downtime and pain than with the coronal method. These techniques involve incisions either hidden just behind the hairline above the ears or in the eyelid crease when done in conjunction with and eyelid lift.

Endoscopic or minimal-scar browlift is performed using a tiny fiberoptic lens inserted through half-inch incisions placed in the hairline. Dr. Singh can visualize the surgery through a lens is attached to a camera, which is connected to a television. Additional half-inch incisions are made for the insertion of tiny scalpels, scissors and retractors. This procedure addresses mild to moderate drooping of the eyebrows.

What Can I Expect After Brow Lift Surgery in Yorktown?

Most patients do not experience too much discomfort following a brow lift. For those with a lower pain tolerance, Dr. Singh can prescribe an oral pain medication. You may notice swelling or bruising which should subside after about a week. You should see full recovery within three weeks.
