Sclerotherapy works by the injection of a chemical into a large vein to seal off and shut down the unneeded spider vein. Sclerotherapy can be performed on the legs, hands and face in the comfort of our office.

Am I a Good Candidate for Sclerotherapy in Yorktown?

For patients struggling with spider veins, sclerotherapy can be an excellent option for treatment. We also offer laser treatment for those who have smaller spider veins. We do not recommend sclerotherapy for women who are pregnant or breast feeding, as well as patients with circulation or heart conditions.

Patients may experience some bruising or swelling following treatment; however there is no downtime after sclerotherapy. We will ask our patients to do a lot of walking after treatment, as well as wear compression stockings to aid in the process.
